Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse is one of my fav jazz singers. I bought her CD recently and instantly fall in love with her voice and all her song (it sends the signal that the music has real value). She (born Amy Jade Winehouse on 14 September 1983) is an English soul, jazz, and rhythm and blues singer and songwriter. Her debut album, Frank (released in 2003) was nominated for the Mercury Prize. She won the Ivor Novello Award in 2004 for her debut single "Stronger than Me" and again in May 2007 for the first single "Rehab" from her 2006 album Back to Black. On 14 February 2007, she won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist; she had also been nominated for Best British Album. On 17 July, Back to Black was announced as one of the 12 albums on the 2007 shortlist of Mercury Prize nominees and later that year she was nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards and "Mejor artista nuevo internacional" or "best international new artist" in Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica. The singer's drug and alcohol abuse and bulimia became regular tabloid fodder in 2007. Ladies and gentlemen, The British aren't coming. They're already here -- and they may be staying for a while..

Back To Black By Amy Winehouse
He left no time to regret
Kept his dick wet
With his same old safe bet
Me and my head high
And my tears dry
Get on without my guy
You went back to what you knew
So far removed from all that we went through
And I tread a troubled track
My odds are stacked
I'll go back to black
We only said good-bye with words
I died a hundred times
You go back to her
And I go back to.....
I go back to us
I love you much
It's not enough
You love blow and I love puff
And life is like a pipe
And I'm a tiny penny rolling up the walls inside

We only said goodbye with words
I died a hundred times
You go back to her
And I go back to
We only said good-bye with words
I died a hundred times
You go back to her
And I go back to
Black, black, black, black, black, black, black,
I go back to
I go back to
We only said good-bye with words

You go back to her

We only said good-bye with words

EB and KBMC
Fancy headline eh? We have last minute changes yesterday on break fast location and we ended up at Eccucino Brasserie,Prince Hotel Kuala Lumpur instead of Little Penang Restaurant in KLCC (as per earlier plan). Together with Fazilah, Zalilah and Sharina, we arrived at 6.15pm. The funniest part is, Sharina called EB for table reservation at 6.10pm when we are actually inside the car and on the way up to Prince Hotel car parking at level 5! Hahaha….
Have a nice starter - and me acting as a chef for a while as we have to mix our own salad (Zalilah loves it! See my leg lah..) Then I joined the queue for my fav – grill lamb – I’ve been aiming that since we arrived. However, after having a bite (ok, more than three) I started to be a food critic – it was too dry and not up to my expectation and on top of that, the lamb presenter is thrifty. Why? He only gave me a slice, as if I’m 8 years old kid who have small belly.
Anyway…
Later on, I did “window shopping” on the spread and made few trips to the ‘dessert department’ (I have a sweet tooth), share great moment with the gang and gossip bout few people in EB. Yup, we did that. Hahaha… What I can conclude for my night at EB after paying only RM43 something (using ProMark card, we entitles to have discount) you may think the food is delicious only because of you are HUNGRY!
P/S: Latest updates on Momo’s condition in Kampung Baru Medical Centre, he still didn’t eat anything yet and won’t spit his saliva.

Momo & Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease
Last night, my second nephew – Momo (Linda son’s) admitted to Kampung Baru Medical Centre because of Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease.
I wonder what, where and how did he get it? (definitely not from me – you chicky monkey) So, I make my investigation with my best friend – Mr. Google and below are what I found…
What is it?
Hand-foot-mouth disease is a common childhood illness featuring mouth sores, fever, and a rash. Similar-sounding “foot-and-mouth disease” is a disease of cattle and is not related to this condition.
Hand-foot-mouth disease is usually caused by a virus called coxsackievirus A16. However, many children with coxsackievirus A16 infections do not have all of the features of hand-foot-mouth disease. Some have no rash, some have no mouth sores, and some even have no fever. A variety of other viruses in the Enterovirus family can also cause hand-foot-mouth disease (the coxsackieviruses are enteroviruses).

Below is the reply from Simon, my MD regarding our Great Eastern Run Fees (I have deleted my company details for P&C purposes).. Tsk..Tsk..Tsk.. No harm trying.. Anyway, we will still proceed – with or without the fund! Errr.. Joey is not going to join because she said it’s too expensive (of course lah, we’re using our own money) so basically I will be alone for the run.

Dear Hashella,
Ian and I are really impressed that you guys are getting into it but the intention has always been that the entry fees paid for by the Company are for Malaysian races not international ones. Just to demonstrate that this is the case for everyone, even I paid my own entry fee for the Singapore Marathon when I did it last.
Sorry about that and I hope it doesn’t quell your enthusiasm.
Regards,
Simon
Hahaha... Fair enough..

Again?
You must not laugh when I announce this – I’M GOING TO PARTICIPATE IN GREAT EASTERN SINGAPORE RUN THIS COMING 21st OCT 2007. I know! What happened to all the talks of not going to run again? I have decided that I do enjoy running. As Simon said, “Once we’re involved, there is no turning back”, which I strongly agree – only 2 weeks after the previous run! Hahaha… Joey as usual will participate (that is after I convinced her - she worried about who is going to settle the fees as company always pay on behalf of us – we have a fund for it!) and so is my sister Linda. Surprised? Don’t be. She is coming down for shopping. Great mind, indeed.
